Introduction of the Toastmaster

After the business portion of the meeting is concluded (typically 10-15 minutes) and a short recess, the President returns to the lectern and introduces the member who will host the speech portion of the meeting. This member is called the toastmaster and a different member is scheduled to be toastmaster at each meeting.

The toastmaster sets the tone of the meeting and is responsible for ensuring the speeches, table topics and evaluations are properly introduced, and that the flow of the meeting is maintained.
